Computer Systems Technology
Every year, through its Computer Systems Technology Program, the Computer Science Department of Camosun College sponsors the Capstone Symposium. Teams of students develop solutions for business problems in cooperation with local businesses, industry, and government.
My team joined together with Reboot Consulting Co., to aid in the planning and development of a new website content management system geared heavily towards the promotion of search engine optimization. As my teams lead analyst and developer, it was my responsibility to ensure the end product was of high-quality and suitable for use in a production environment.
Upon completion of our project, Sascha Klingsch, Owner and President of Reboot Consulting, was impressed with my work and decided to offer me a full-time position as an IMT (Information Management Technologies) Consultant.
Experience – Reboot Consulting
During my employment at Reboot Consulting I was involved in many projects ranging from building small websites to developing XML data conversion applications to implementing full e-commerce solutions. My objective as an IMT Consultant was to assess business information management needs, work with the client to develop goals, and find the best way to achieve those goals.

Alongside website design and web application development, I was also responsible for the maintenance and support of two dedicated Linux servers which hosted many of the clients listed above as well as over 100 others. This support included domain registration, custom DNS settings, email configuration for server and client, email troubleshooting, website/email/database migrations, and more.

Cornerstone Properties – Website Design and CMS Implementation
I was part of a team of developers working to implement a new content management system back-end. The CMS needed to integrate closely with legacy software used for management of property listings.
